It is 1940 in the new Republic of Ireland under Eamon De Valera. Outside of Ireland the Second World War rages with Nazi Germany on the brink of victory. In Ireland three brave men of the Local Security Force patrol the coast, defending the fledgling state. This award-winning dark comedy by established dramatist Stuart Lee is a play in two scenes exploring the hilarious but tragic period of Irish history and her neutrality in World War Two. Winner of the 'Forever Manchester' Award 2011, 'Best New Writing' Buxton Fringe 2011, and the Galway Drama Festival's New Writing Competition 2010.
