The Devon and Exmoor Guidebook is one of a series of guidebooks focusing on the major tourist destinations in the UK and is the ideal companion to exploring Devon. It divides the area into seven clear regions which, for ease of navigation, are colour coded in the headings at the top of the page and the page numbers at the bottom. The book is a comprehensive guide to: beaches, castles, gardens, restaurants, hotels, National Trust properties and much more. It includes colour photographs of great beauty and descriptive text and opening times to the many attractions.

By K. Lear
Having already bought the Cornwall book from the same series, we knew that this book would be good - and it didn't let us down. My husband and I have a young baby and wanted a guide that gave us an honest opinion of various parts of Devon, providing inspiration for where we could go on the various days of our holiday. This book is perfect for that. Very concise (no waffle but just enough detail) descriptions of anything you could want to look at/visit. From beaches to restaurants to cafes to fancy hotels and cosy B&Bs. All in easy to follow geographically divided sections.

Nice helpful photos accompany many of the write ups as well - much better than lots of the guides which provide lots of writing and no photos, which is useless for getting a good feel of a very pituresque county.

Highly recommended!

This new Guidebook to Devon is a real treasure! It's packed full of detailed information, lavishly illustrated with beautiful photographs, and annotated maps. If you're thinking of visiting Devon, or you live in Devon and want to know more about the county, this is the book for you.. I warmly congratulate the authors.
