Used for 3 years to date without problems, now we have 5 of these spread over the house... so easy, plug & unplug then reconnect elsewhere, takes just a few seconds to get going again!
Not cheap & shonky chinese copies, we went for the german original which is a well specced product thats left in 24-7 you NEED confidence in.
Customer service is easily obtained, the onscreen layout / set up is simple (if you do get confused. potentially you can hook a few of these up in 2 minutes flat.
Not recommended for flats where there is any doubt as to shared power mains, or else someone could plug in & use your network "potentially"
These aren't recommended to be used on a chain of sockets (ie an extension lead, WE DO & don't find any problems).
We Also run a big mains house "smoothing" transformer which should theoretically interfere with the workings of these ..it doesn't, these work without pause, perfectly.
Stick one on your digital PVR & access the latest BBC i-player on your tv, or tv's ..work really well even with the "higher quality" streaming option (recommended) ..fine with the new ITV red button i-player also, streaming speed is good & opens an extras dimension (or option) to a full pvr memory.
Sad as we are, it enables us to web surf in the bedroom without problem (hate wi-fi) & offers more peace of mind wher security is concerned.
Ok so you will need to connect your item to a cable, but that's easy compared to running a bunch of cables to various rooms which is expensive & prone to being cut or chewed by rodents or building work.
Easy & reliable, pricey yes, worth it? most definitely!
3 leds t show state of connectivity, when they say plug & play they mean it!
