I bought one of these but what I really needed was 3 plugs rather than 3ports in 1 plug. Can I just buy 2 more singles & get them to connect? 14 Jan 2014
Yes. I bought another WiFi unit with 3 ports. I simply plugged it in and it automatically found the router at the other end and my other smart TV connected to the internet and my laptops connected to via WiFi once the key was entered.
Does this only work on Houses wired with Ring Mains ? Our house is (in France) is wired as individual spurs back to the consumer unit. Thanks 3 Jan 2014
We have a ring main so I can't answer your question definitively, though I can't see any reason in principal why it should not work on spurs. We have put the unit on an extension cable down to our shed and it works fine.
I have out router next to my smart tv/dvd/games console. Is it OK to put the adaptor and the other one next to each other in a double socket 26 Jan 2014
No, you cannot use the other half of a double point. You need a devolo with a socket on the front, into which you can plug the router or a multi socket.
