The devolo dLAN 200 AV wireless N starter kit is especially suitable for all areas at home, in which a lot of network-enabled devices are present. For instance, the living room with Internet-TV, Blu-ray player and the couch for convenient wireless surfing - or the Home-Office with desktop computer, network printer and NAS hard-disk. No matter whether via WLAN or network cable - all devices are network easily and immediately with the dLAN adapter.

I bought a 200 AV N adapter to connect my cable internet connection to my home office LAN. It works well. Encouraged by this, I bought a second 200 AV N to cure a wireless blackspot at the back of my house (~15-20 meters from the incoming cable), and to allow me to connect a TV to the home LAN. This has not worked nearly so well. The problem is manifest as a very slow (5 Mbps!) reported transmit speed from the 2nd AVN to the AV mini supporting the cable connection. Curiously, the speed in the reverse direction is much better (~ 100 Mbps), and the connection between the AVN's is fast too. I have tried replacing the AVN and using a number of different sockets in the room, but to no avail. The problem might be caused by my electricity meter or some other local condition. My advice is to see if you can borrow this or a similar product and try it in-situ. If it works fine, you will probably be delighted with the 200 AV N.

As they say it did exactly what it says on the tin,I wanted BBC I-Player so I took it out of the box plugged the units in as directed connected them up,switched on,went to my television selected channel 901 and bingo I had BBC I-Player,what more can I say.

Hi,
I needed an easy way to extend my wireless network in a flat jungle of wireless connections. It was a simple case of de-boxin, plug into the wall and away you go on your ipad etc. It also then offers cabled options to my apple TV for faster downloads which lead to me putting away the drill, sure the wall was happy about that. Would recommend downloading the software from their website as it helps to setup more secure options and place a sticky note near the unit with the WEP2 key as you don't want to unplug it each time you need to sync up a new device.

hit and miss
works OK for a while then suddenly drops out, and can't do anything to restart it, then after a day or two, it starts up again on its own.
