Product Description

After escaping certain death at the hands of a rogue faction of the FBI in Manassas, Virginia, Jack and Jeremy Kenney race home to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Time is quickly running out for them and the rest of the world to prevent seven mysterious, but deadly, objects from reaching the United States. The objects resemble enormous golden towers, and along with an eighth shimmering tower moving through America’s Deep South, they belong to deities that once ruled the earth thousands of years ago. The collective eight, known as the "Children of Elohim" are swiftly closing in on Tuscaloosa, with the promise of bloodshed unlike anything the modern world has ever witnessed.

The late Dr. Oscar Mensch has left detailed instructions for the brothers, both students at the University of Alabama, to restore an ancient shrine known as the ‘Estrella de La Sangre’ or ‘Blood Star’ in the basement of a sprawling estate located near the University’s campus. But an ominous riddle remains as to why the professor would ever want to resurrect the shrine once used for blood sacrifice in ancient Pakistan.

The answer leads to a harrowing adventure for the Kenney brothers, exposing them to new horrors, both in the States and abroad. The journey for salvation takes them to a mysterious Essene castle in the Bolivian Andes of South America, and then back to Alabama for a deadly confrontation with an unearthly menace...one that threatens mankind’s very survival.

Acclaim for Aiden James:

“Aiden James has written a deeply psychological, gripping tale that keeps the readers hooked from page one.”
—Bookfinds review for THE FORGOTTEN EDEN

“Not only is Aiden James a storyteller par excellence, but his material for his story is riveting.”
—Huntress Reviews

“The hook to this excellent suspense thriller is the twists that will keep readers wondering what is going on as nothing is quite what it seems. Adding to the excitement is that the audience will wonder whether the terror is an evil supernatural creature or an amoral human…Aiden James provides a dark thriller that grips fans from the opening.”
—Harriet Klausner, Amazon’s #1 book reviewer for THE FORGOTTEN EDEN

“Aiden James writing style flows very easily and I found that CADES COVE snowballed into a very gripping tale. Clearly the strengths in the piece were as the spirit's interaction became prevalent with the family… The Indian lore and ceremonies and the flashbacks to Allie Mae's (earthly) demise were very powerful. I think those aspects separated the work from what we've seen before in horror and ghost tales.”
—Evelyn Klebert, author of A GHOST OF A CHANCE and DRAGONFLIES

“Aiden James is insanely talented!”
—J.R. Rain, author of MOON DANCE and THE BODY DEPARTED

As the story opens, Jack and Jeremy Kenney have survived their attempted execution and are en route to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Hoping to fulfill Dr. Mensch's dying wish and somehow clear their names of all the false crimes being told by the media, the Kenney brothers race to the professor's house on South Queens Court.

At the same time, eight giant towers (disguised as tremendous weather phenomenons) are also closing in on the house. These are the children of Elohim, the Lord of the Universe. Long before recorded time, as we know it, they had incurred the wrath of Elohim due to their bloodlusts and were destined to exist in a forged prison away from our three-dimensional reality. The only way these demonic deities could return was if man aided their rebirth using the Cristal Del Sol (a crystal sphere of unimaginable power). Should this happen Elohim would turn his back on the world and leave mankind to its fate.

As FBI agents, various law enforcements, and even Israeli assassins converge on their location, the brothers find themselves kidnapped by an unknown group and taken to an ancient castle in Bolivia. The group turns out to be known throughout the world as the "Servants of the Angels". When they come face-to-face with the Archangels Moroni, Gabriel, Micheles, and Ossisa, the brothers learn why. Their new mortal allies have been charged with the protection of Jack and Jeremy, as the brothers' survival is critical to the future. However, all would be for naught should the demon, Genovene, and her four siblings succeed in bringing about the rebirth of the Elohim's children.

The "reign of unending darkness" is upon them and the "war of wars" is about to commence.

***** FIVE STARS! Wow! The intense writing style of Aiden James kept my eyes glued to the story and the pages seemed to fly by at warp speed. The action is nonstop as these two brothers deal with supernatural and honorific entities that either wish to use or kill them. Help comes from unexpected sources, as does betrayal. Twists, turns, and surprises pop up at random times to keep the reader off balance. It all blends together to create one of the best stories I have read all year. BRAVO! *****

Spell Binding!!!, 19 May 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
The Devil's Paradise by far has been the best book I've read in a long time! Aiden James continues to surprise me with each novel, luring me into the world of fantasy, horror, suspense and action. I loved the way the spiritual world was reflected in The Devil's Paradise with twists and turns on every page. The constant battles of good, evil and temptation that the main character's the Kenney Brothers underwent had me on the edge of my seat throughout the book and Aiden James brought the story to life so effortlessly. This book could easily become a movie that I would see and own! Would love to read a third novel a continuation of what the future has in store for the Jack and Jeremy Kenney!!!!
