Format: Paperback
I was a huge fan of 'Run Baby Run' and wanted to find out more about what happened to Nicky and some of the other characters in the book. This book is not a sequel exactly and is not a story in the same way 'Run Baby Run' was. It does describe many events in Cruz's life, only a few of which were mentioned in 'Run Baby Run'; however this book is more about giving spiritual advice.

Having grown up with two parents heavily into the occult and spiritual world, Cruz writes from an informed perspective about the demons and evil spirits that inhabit the world we live in and influence the actions of those around us more than we might expect. He writes about the power we, as Christians, have over the devil and the dangers of messing around with spiritualism, tarot cards etc. Whilst his views can sometimes be extreme, his occult upbringing means that he is able to speak on such issues with real authority. All of Cruz's points are backed up by short but relevant Bible verses, which are included in the book- saving flicking through the Bible to find them. He also draws extensively on his fascinating upbringing, life as a gangster and preacher.

This book was highly enjoyable but also spiritually informative, in a way that 'Run Baby Run' was not. My one complaint would be that Cruz seems overly hostile to some things which many would not class as anti-Christian and in a limited number of cases he does not back up this hostility with Biblical quotations. This is certainly the exception rather than the rule and the book is certainly worth reading.

I received the book within a week of placing my order and even though I knew I ordered a used book it was in really good condition.
