5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 27 Feb 2014

I found this to be a real spiritual treasure and wholeheartedly recommend it. Fr Vann is obviously drawing upon a lot of personal and pastoral experience, as well as the wise traditions of the Church.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beware! 15 Nov 2012
By Achilles - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is an excellent book on the exposition of the tactics of the Devil. This book is not at all boring unless you are uninterested in learning from an excellent man how Satan operates. The author begins with the temptation in the desert and goes on to extraordinary and profound insights.

3.0 out of 5 stars Useful subject, boring writing 14 Jun 2011
By jacataqua - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The subject much needed and useful, but the way the writer writes is very boring. He also gets sidetracked and talks on about other subjects that have nothing to do with the devil and how to resist him.
