It is a riotous and fast moving potboiler, focusing on the contemporary subject of girl gangs.

It has everything, from troubled teens, to drug smuggling, rape and murder. All classic Ed Wood ingredients - including a mention of an angora sweater. This is the first book I have read by him but I'd certainly look forward to reading more, 'Let Me Die in Drag' sounds particularly inviting! Despite the subject matter I didn't find it mean spirited or vile, it has a cartoon like quality, akin to the wobbly sets and surreal lines that epitomised Plan 9 and most of his other films. Oh, and Jonathan Ross writes a pretty mean introduction too.
