I have the 8gb version of this tablet but presumably the USB connection works the same. Try the following: 1. Connect the tablet to your pc/laptop with the usb cable 2. You will get a message coming up in the black tool bar at the bottom of your tablet screen saying 'usb debugging connected' 3. On the black tool bar press on the usb icon (between the three vertical white dots and the time). 4. A menu will come up. Press on the third item USB connected 5. A screen will come up saying USB connected . At the bottom of the screen there will be a button which says 'Turn on USB storage'. Press this and your tablet will be linked to your pc/laptop as an external hard drive. 6. On your pc/laptop a screen will come up saying Removable Disk followed by a letter usually F or G. One is the internal SD card the other is the external sd card. 7. Click on the last option 'Open Folder to View Files'. All the files on your sd card will be shown. 8. You can now move or drag and drop files between your pc/laptop and tablet. 9. Close down the message that asks for external drivers if this pops up.
Hi Michelle, read your reply, great..I have just received my new NATPC M009S RTB ULTIMATE 16GB and found it great, but...Although it instantly connected to my wi-fi at home it will not connect to any other network. It sees them, but when I select "connect" it just saves the details but does not even try to connect. I particularly wanted to use the tablet with my phone and "Joiku" hotspot app. My netbook connects to this hotspot fine, but not the tablet. Any ideas? I am struggling, particularly as there is no real manual with the tablet. Thanks, Terry
Hi Terry I'm not sure that I can help with this one. I have not had any problems connecting my tablet up outside my home network, in fact I've used it quite a lot when I've been on holiday abroad and not had any connection problems at all.
When you take your tablet into a wifi area it should pick up all the networks available. This might sound a bit obvious, but you need the password for the wireless network you want to connect to. Turn wireless on, highlight the wireless network, press connect and then input the network's password. Say, for example you are in a bar, you need to ask them for the wifi password, so that you can connect to their wireless network.
I've not tried to link my tablet to my phone, and use my phone as a wireless hotspot, so I can't comment on this.
Michelle, when connecting the the tablet to my Windows 7 PC, I don't get any of the messages you describe. Nothing can be seen in the file browser. I only way I can see it is connected is when opening devices and printers, and I can't do anything with it, because of no drivers.
Hi Sharon. Have you made sure that you have carried out steps 1 to 5 in my post. If you haven't enabled 'USB connected' and turned on USB storage on your tablet, it will not connect up with your PC. Once you have done this the the sd card(s) in your tablet will show up as external hard drives on your computer.
