This book is aimed at counsellors who have already undergone some training in the Person-Centred Approach and are familiar with applying PCA concepts to their work. If people have not yet read Person-Centred Counselling in Action by Dave Mearns I would recommend reading it first. The book covers a wide range of general areas in which PCA counsellors may develop, using examples and ideas for application. It also contains specific applications for PCA counsellors including sections I found very interesting on mental health from a PCA perspective and an interesting review matrix using interpersonal perspectives which I have found very effective with some clients.

I've only picked and choosed certain parts of this book to read so far, but it's turned my view of the complexity of PCA on its head, I've discovered new depths, asked newer and deeper questions about how I dare to practice. Each of the chapters takes an area and briefly expands ones thinking in that area
