Product Description

Product Description

This guide to developing DB2/2 and DB2/6000 applications includes source code examples, and covers the tools for object-oriented development.

From the Author

Written by a DB2 developer for DB2 developers !
This book will show you how to develop DB2 applications using embedded SQL, IBM's Call Level Interface, and/or DB2's low-level Application Programming Interface (API) functions. Approximately 350 C and C++ example programs are provided in this book and all can be downloaded from my web site (http://www.ntwrks.com/~rsanders). All example programs have been compiled and tested on both the OS/2 and the AIX operating system. I worked closely with several DB2 developers at IBM's lab in Toronto, Canada to ensure that the information presented in this book is both acurate and complete.

Format:Hardcover
This book is well written and heavy on examples. The DB2 Developers Handbook was written by Roger becuase he was unhappy working with the documentation supplied by IBM. All his experiences are in this book. Excellent author - Excellent book.

Excellent book with many samples 5 Nov 1999
By cjy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is an excellent reference book with plenty of samples in both C and C++ languages. However, the URL in the back cover of the book for electronic copy of all the samples is no longer active. According to the author, the web site is deactivated due to IBM no longer supports the Common Servers product, it would be better for the user to buy his new book(s).
