Format:Audio CD
I used this cd after trying possibly everything you could think of including seeing a psychiatrist but nothing worked. I have what the doctor classed as 'agoraphobia' (I think thats how its spelt) which means that I have a fear of being out in open spaces and the more people that are out there around me, the more I panicked. So instead of panicking all the time, I just stopped going out at all. The doctor recommended that I see a psychiatrist and I did, he tried everything we could think of but to no avail. I am overweight and being like that caused my agoraphbia as I thought people were always laughing at me when I went outside and I stopped talking to peole. So after checking everything on Amazon, I found this cd and I tried Glenn Harolds self-confidence and after just 2weeks I felt remarkably different. I was very different acording to my friends and I spoke to people and when I was asked questions, I answered people instead of freaking out and hiding away. I listened to it every day and it even made me fell so relaxed and 'chirpy' after listening to it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Tried hard for years to achieve a recording contract with no success but within weeks of using glenn's tape, it gave me the confidence and will power to succeed. I now have a record deal!! And the future is looking positive.

Format:Audio CD
The basic idea behind this recording (as I enterpret it) is that, if you are relaxed enough, you will believe what the voice tells you, it will sink into your unconscious mind. So, the first track uses slow gentle music and voice to relax you, for about 10 minutes, before he positive suggestions kick in. There's lots of repetion and 'spare' time to allow it to sink in. This seemed to work well for me as, although i don't remember anything the cd said, i was certainly more at ease with myself from day one. After a week and having listened to track 2, i'm finding it much easier to talk to people, and i am even introducing myself to people who i've been dying to talk to for ages. All such introductions have gone well and i feel totally relaxed in places that i would have felt awful in before.
Anyway, the point: is it suitable for everyone?
Well, its hard to say - but i think that it will definitely help to reduce anxiety and make you feel more at ease when in the company of others. That is, provided you're happy to listen to it-
The biggest down point for me was the voice. As a man, i found the intimate relationship that is developed with the cd to be fine. However, at times, i have found the deep, male voice to be quite intrusive. To be honest i would have felt more relaxed with a female voice. Thats not to say it's bad - i'm sure lots of people will appreciate it, but i think it would have been nice to have the option of a womans voice.
Still, a great pair of recordings and provided you can stomach the voice (or embrace it!), then i'm sure it will have a positive effect.
Ps. here are the 'subliminals' which you will hear on each track (and which you are asked to repeat out loud):
- I continue to feel more and more confident at all times.
- I always feel calm and composed under pressure.
- My nerves grow stronger and steadier every day.
- My self belief continues to grow stronger all the time.
- I feel very confident in the company of other people.
