Outstanding! 10 Sep 2011
Platform for Display:PC|Edition:Augmented Edition
Fun:
This game lives up to all expectations and then adds some! From the start it was captivating and compelling drawing you into the world that has been so masterfully created. There is so much to explore and do. In the manual it tells you that you can't get all the argumentations, well while this is true, you can get 95% of them if you explore everything and HACK everything, do not use the codes or passwords as this will reduce your score. So I played it twice and never used one code or machine to open any door or computer and my score went through the roof, I was able to get everything I could want. Knowing this will make the game more enjoyable, but it is up to you!

There are a few things you need to know:
1: Even though I pre-ordered to get the additional stuff, it took 6 hours to download when I installed, this was very painful (but worth it in the end) so make sure you have plenty of install time available.

2: Steam is a little annoying but you get used to it, I found it very stable, but would drop you back to the STEAM screen sometimes in the game.

3: Game stability is outstanding, I have played this game for 85 hours and had only one crash when I re-loaded the same save for an hour and half (when I was stuck) and this is the one and only time it every crashed. It performed smoothly and brilliantly on maximum resolution. I have 1 gig of video RAM so I guess this helped. But overall one of the most stable games I have ever played.

4: Make sure you save regular as there are many times you may want to re-think what you did.

Summer:
This truly is a 5 star game and I highly recommend it to anyone, I will be getting the DLC as soon as it is available in October.
ENJOY!

First of all i like to thank Amazon for there prompt delivery & price promise, i pre ordered this a while back, it arrived on the 27/8/11 & i saved a further £9 pound plus as well, cheers guys, will be pre ordering again from you

Now for the review, been a big fan of the Deus Ex games so when i heard they would be doing another instalment i thought id keep an eye on it, been following from the early days of development, reading a watching interviews from Art Director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete,(he looks like the main character Adam Jensen by the way, dam cool dude lol) which i realy enjoyed listening to him, he is very passionate about his vision of the game & it shows, its a stunning & very atmospheric game, also quite apt with whats going on with the World today,

The game is set in a near future where corporations have extended their influence past the reach of global governments, the game follows Adam Jensen, the security chief for one of the game's most powerful corporations, Sarif Industries, he his hired after his girlfriend who works for Sarif Industries recommends him for the position, he previously worked as a SWAT Officer but after things went wrong on a case he was dismissed & looking for work, not long after starting his new position there is a devastating attack on Sarif's headquarters, heavly armed & Augmented Mercanaries/Soldiers siege the building, Adam tries to fight them but is overwhelmed, he is left for dead as he sees his girlfiend taken hostage by them, he wakes up six months later after finding out that he had to undergo radical surgeries that fuse his body with mechanical augmentations, he is more machine than man but his heart, soul & mind remain strong & keep him human, he resents being Augmented as it wasnt by choice but realises that he wouldnt be alive without them & learns to live again & is embroiled in a quest to find who is responsible for all this,

iam realy enjoying this game, i havent completed it yet, been playing solid since the 27th lol only taking a break to write this review, its not without its flaws tho, it is a incredible game, with great art style, gamplay, sound & graphics but the facial animation on the characters could of been better, the best so far for getting this rite are the Mass Effect games,(incredible games as well pick them up if you get a chance) i thought they would of gone down that line for a game like this, crowds are often repeated with the same facials as well from city to city, bit lazy from the developers, on the PC it also suffers from occasional stuttering after entering a new level or loaded level, there has been an update which mine has been but yet still suffers from it, those aside i highly recommend this game, dark, moody & fun to play, get it & become more than Human, enjoy :)

Being a huge fan of the fan of the franchise, and waiting for this title since it was first announced (known then as Deus Ex 3) I was not left disapointed, every action taken (conversation's, decisions on how to handle a quest etc) change the over all outcome of the game.

A note to first person shooter fans this is an RPG and should be played like one to achive the full eperience and it is recommend you do a number of play thoughs to get your money's worth.

This game gave me a feeling of nastalgia in a genre which is rare of today and it is an amazing title, recommends to anyone who loves good narative, and a story that changes from the actions of the player.

One of the best games of the year.
