Product Description

Driving back to Norway, Lina and Martin reach a roadblock where a policeman tells them to take a detour deep into the Swedish forest. Soon one creepy incident after another leaves them stranded in the dark woods and everything seems much too bizarre to be purely accidental. What Lina and Martin do not know is that they are under constant video surveillance and have been unwittingly cast as the leading roles of a live internet snuff movie with a definitive and terrifying end. Explore your worst possible fears in this shocking horror thriller that was inspired by terrifying true events!

This is the story of a young norwegian couple who are on their way back from Sweden into Norway. They had gone there to buy a load of cheap booze and had hoped to bring it back into Norway without getting stopped at the border. Before they reach the border they are stopped by a policeman who tells them the road is closed and advises them to take a short detour which leads through the woods. Bad advice. Soon after, unknowingly to them, it becomes apparent that they are being filmed and are the stars of a snuff movie..

It's a reasonably interesting plot let down by a very weak uninspired script. The two leads are decent enough but it's all very predictable and follows the horror cliche handbook to the letter. You will see the plot twists a mile off. It's not much of a horror film either, there aren't any scares and theres extremely little blood and gore. Despite this, it did hold my interest and the fact it is so short (75 mins) works in its favour. It's not terrible just unremarkable and generic.

2.0 out of 5 stars Flat and uninspired. 1 April 2013

Like the other reviewer, I found this very boring and predictable. I usually like Scandinavian horrors, but this had little really going for it. There was barely any atmosphere. Apart from 10 minutes at the start, it was all set at night and there were no real settings other than various dark roads and a fairly normal-looking house. The characters were all fairly uninspired (though decently acted) and there wasn't really any scares or horror. It was all very clichéd, safe and predictable. I can't think for the life of me why it's got an "18" (I've seen more disturbing things in Dr Who!)

If you're bored and have run out of things to watch, by all means, it isn't awful, but you will probably wish you hadn't bothered.
