Product Description

Product Description

The third gripping adventure in this exciting new pony-club series. With gymkhanas to win, rivals to defeat, mysteries to solve and ponies in danger to save -- these books are perfect for all girls who love ponies. Issie and Blaze were hot favourites to win the Chevalier Point Pony Club dressage competition, but now they have to spend the summer on her aunt's farm instead! When Issie finds out Blaze can go with her -- and she'll be helping to train horses for the movies -- things start to look up. During her stay Issie overhears a conversation about plans to cull a group of wild ponies, and she is determined to find a way to save them, espcially the beautiful stallion Destiny, who bears a striking resemblance to her aunt's favourite stallion Avignon. It's lucky that Issie's made friends with her aunt's handsome farm manager, and can call on her pony-club friends, because she is going to need all the help she can get! This is a gripping story, full of wonderful horsy detail, that will have readers hooked all the way to the nail-biting finish.

About the Author

Stacy Gregg loved horses right from the start. Determined to have her own pony, she saved up every cent and by the time she was five, her piggy bank was groaning with enough small change to buy a horse. Unfortunately, her dreams continued to be hampered by the fact that she lived in the city with her exasperatingly 'unhorsey' family. There would be another four frustrating years of cantering on brooms around the Gregg family living room until, finally, her parents went rural and a string of ponies followed. These days, Stacy divides her time between writing the Pony Club Secrets series and working as editor of fashion website Runwayreporter.com. Stacy is 39 years old. She lives with her partner and their seven year-old daughter in a converted soccer club rooms in Auckland, New Zealand. She does not currently have a piggy bank, but she is definitely making plans to buy another horse.

Your niece/daughter/grand-daughter will love it. Just don't make the mistake I made and buy her another from the same series for her next birthday. She will have bought and read the whole series in about 3 weeks after you gave her this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars 9-year old daughter seems to love these books, 19 Jul 2009
Title says it all, personally I have no idea as I have not opened the covers, I am just a Dad who leaves them around as a little present sometimes. They seem to hit the spot and get picked up again so I guess they are neither too young or too difficult. Understood to be for 9-12 age group.
