5.0 out of 5 stars Witty Werewolf YA 26 Jun 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
OMG. This self-published novel has completely taken me by surprise. Not only is it well-written, entertaining and somewhat addictive, but it's driven at the helm by a dry-voiced narrator called Scout, who you can't help but love. The characters in Destiny Binds are amazingly well-rounded, the shifter mythology incredibly believable, and the romance one of the best I've read in YA indie. OK, so admittedly there isn't as much action in this novel as other YA paranormal but the dialogue and the characters are so wonderful that I didn't even care. The quality of the actual writing just kept me turning page after page. So did Scout's quick wit.

This book made me laugh and cry, and the ending threw me for a loop. My mouth actually fell open with a silent 'nooooo!'. I cannot wait for the second book in the Timber Wolves series. Literally... cannot wait!

Five Stars!

Out standing book one of the best i have read lately. Brilliant authour the story is trilling and captivating alll at the same time. The words of scout are cativating and keep you so engrossed in the story you dont realise how time flys when you are reading the story.I was so absorbed by the story that i read it in about three hours. Also scouts sence of humour keeps you going and the complixity of the story and her relationship with her brother and chalie and alex keeps you engrossed.

The book is well written and nice characters. I just struggled with the very American High School references. I love young adult stories, even though I am an older adult! I think being older and not American some of the references just went past me! Unlike Twighlight or Hunger Games I think you probably have to be a teenager to fully apprecate this story. I think you probably also have to be American (or have a better appreciation of American culture/language than me!)

In fairness I am sure the teenager is the target audience and I just chose badly!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly well written, for less than £1! 10 Mar 2012
By Midori
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I couldn't believe how good this book actually was. Tammy, you need to charge more for your work! Less than £1 doesn't do the quality of your writing justice!
I was expecting the usual mediocre story telling that you tend to get for ebooks of this price, despite the fantastic reviews (because, when a book is priced so cheaply, the reviews tend to be in the 5 star range because of the value for money ratio. Those kind of books, had they been more expensive, would probably only get 3 stars at best). Although I wouldv'e liked to have seen more action (not much fast paced action happens in the first book), the humour and quality of writing (good flow, good conversation writing etc etc) was as good as and better than other professionally published books I have read.
Most werewolf/'supernatural' books take themselves too seriously, and rely on a lot of stereotypes. Destiny Binds is refreshing in a genre that is widely used at the moment. I loved the characters, the humour, the originality and the new dimensions added to a well-worn genre. It made me buy the next book as soon as I finished this one, because I truely cared about what happened to the characters. I think though, what I appreciated most about this book (and the next int he series, which I've almost finished now), is that I can't see where the story could possibly go. That's why it's great - it's not predictable, which is rare for these kind of books. Buy it! For such a cheap price, it's the best ebook I have ever bought (and I have over 90 on my kindle now, heehee).
