About the Author

With his brother Albert, Michel Roux opened the restaurant Le Gavroche in London in 1967. At the time it was the only French restaurant of its kind, serving classical French food with the highest standards of cooking and service. He has since consistently won many major international gastronomy awards, written number of bestselling books and regularly appears on televsion.

A huge personal disappointment as most of these recipes are repeated in his other books.
I was expecting desserts with clear 'wow factor' and it wasn't fourth coming.
If you want good dessert's, look in Le Gavroche by Michel Roux Jr. fantatsic book or Michel Rouxs' Pastry Book.

I guess the clue is in the name as it really is just ten recipes. The book makes a good stocking filler or little present but is quite limited in its appeal and there are most certainly better dessert recipe books out there

This is a small book that has recipes that are easy to complete but do not indicate that they come from one of the UK's best known restaurateurs. Michael Roux Snr has a deserved reputation as a chef but these recipes do not reflect that Michelain Star expectancy.
