Product Description

Colchester Essex England - Local boy makes bad! Ex Colchester Royal Grammar School pupil Paul Pisces' life slowly descends into a web of computers, alcohol, alcoholism and depression. The brothels of Amsterdam, however, provide some sexual excitement. Eventually following redundancy he takes up sex tourism in the Far East to relieve the boredom. A brief respite is encountered when he finds a job in San Francisco during the internet boom and bust fiasco but ultimately he returns to his alcoholic ways and books a flight back to Bangkok. From here it is just a short coach ride to Pattaya and a short step to suicide with a shotgun.

From the Author

This is the book of life I should have read before leaving university in London. It's got it all. Sex, sex tourism, drugs, alcohol, alcoholism, prostitution and suicide. In my search for sex and sobriety I travel from London to Amsterdam; to San Francisco, California; to Bangkok and Pattaya in Thailand and to Manila, Angeles City and Subic Bay in the Philippines. Life sucks. Don't end up a loser like me. Read this book. - Paul Pisces

About the Author

Paul Pisces is a Piscean and likes this description he found of them in the 'Daily Express' (1st March 1993): 'Vague, sometimes downright evasive, sympathetic, sensitive, hugely imaginative - these are rare creatures who need careful handling otherwise they can disappear in a puff of smoke. Some Pisceans are ghost-like creatures, some are voracious sharks. However, both are so emotional that they seek solace in day-dreams or addictive escape routes, whether it's music and the movies or drink and drugs. Real life is a problem because it is not like their fantasies so they can seem remote, not relating at all. With care and protection, though, they are sweet compassionate people who will adapt to your every need.' He is the product of a Grammar School education after which he studied Biology at the University of London. By the time he left university he already had a drink problem. He started a career in computer programming but his drinking became progressively worse and worse. Maybe you can learn something from his story.
