Book Description

22 July 2010
Another fantastic blockbuster from bestseller, LOUISE BAGSHAWE, combining glamour, thrills and dangerous passion. For fans of Jane Green.

Lisa Costello is leading a charmed life - until she wakes up the morning after her glamorous Thailand wedding to find her new husband Josh dead in their bed, the murder weapon in her hand. She remembers learning at the wedding that Josh had been unfaithful, but she certainly doesn't remember killing him. As Lisa flees the scene for Europe, ex-FBI trainee Sam Murray is on her trail. Catching up with her, he's quickly convinced she's been set up, and they start to work out which of movie producer Josh's many enemies could be behind the hit. It's a race against time to unearth the truth and keep Lisa out of jail - or gunned down by the professional assassin tailing them. And the danger only adds to the excitement of the passion brewing between them...

1.0 out of 5 stars An insult to your intelligence 19 May 2010
Format:Paperback
This book is awful, I couldn't even think of anyone I wanted to give it to when I'd finished with it so it is still clogging up my shelf.

Although I used to love this author, this book shows that she has either become extremely lazy or is chased by too-tight deadlines.
But come on, this isn't an excuse for the nasty mistranslation towards the end of the book (I put what it said in my previous review but Amazon didn't publish it - I guess because it's such a rude word)! Was the publisher saving on a translator!?

Don't waste your money on this junk, ladies. It seems like a cheap copy of her previous books, only with slightly different locations and names. If you want to know what the writer should be capable of, buy her debut novel, "The Movie" - you won't be disappointed!

2.0 out of 5 stars Deja Vu?? 13 April 2010
Format:Paperback
I was really looking forward to this new Louise Bagshawe book, and once I finished reading it, to be honest I was left feeling a little bit disappointed. It was so similar to Passion, it was almost as if she had changed the characters names and tweaked the plot ever so slightly. The same turn of phrase to describe the sexual tension between the main characters, the romance unfolding in the same way. It was only 375 pages long and I think this was a rushed job and I am used to Louise Bagshawe doing a lot better. Maybe she was/is pre-occupied with running as an MP for the Conservative Party??? Could do better Miss Bagshawe.

1.0 out of 5 stars What's going on? 28 Nov 2010
By Marie53
Format:Paperback
I really didn't enjoy this book or the last. It seems as if Bagshawe is trying to change the direction of her writing, unfortunately that is not satisfying to readers who love her old style. I didn't find the characters at all likeable and, as someone who reads thrillers, she just hadn't done her research. Her books are always pretty unbelievable but not normally to this extent. It was really disappointing. She should stick to the kind of stories she's good at.
