4.0 out of 5 stars A sweet little introduction to the works of William Morris., 16 May 2001
By A Customer
I found this book a delight. I learnt alot in a few pages and was very inspired! Small in size it is the perfect book to add to any book lovers collection. Because of it's size it easy to pick up and flick through and not a difficult read. It displays a variety of William Morris' designs from prints, wallpapers to stain glass windows and highlights what important influence Morris is in the design world. Do not let the smallness of the book worry you as the pictures are often over two pages and most of the details seem to be to scale. The book also with it's variety of samples demonstrates how lucky we are that Morris made such an effort to maintain the arts and craft movement and it can be clearly seen where his work has influenced today. Also included is a brief outline of his life which I always find interesting to know. For me the book was a magically introduction to the world of William Morris, a world which I intend to explore further.

2.0 out of 5 stars not as expected, 22 Nov 2005
By A Customer
After reading the above review, I thought this book would be ideal for my college course. The book does contain a lot of designs but very little information on William Morris himself. Disapointing!
