The Designer Habitat Nano 3.0 Media Player is a great device for turning your HD TV into a Home Cinema, allowing you to play virtually any downloaded content on your hard drive/memory card in HD on your TV!
The media player can read Flash Drives, External HDD and the 3-in-1 card reader slot reads SD/MMC/MS cards to decode the content, then output via HDMI or Composite (AV) on your TV or monitor.
The Designer Habitat Nano 3.0 lets you:
- Make the most out of your HD TV
- Watch HD films without the need for a Blu-Ray player
- Watch downloaded films and TV series, with subtitle support
- Watch picture slideshows
- Loop videos

Technical Specs:
Reads hard drives formatted in FAT32 and NTFS, supports hard drives up to 1TB and SD/MS cards up to 64GB. Also plays subtitle files as well as loop videos.
Quick Start Guide:
Unbox the contents, and plug in the device with the mains adaptor and either the supplied composite AV cable or a HDMI cable (not included). Power on the device and find your TV's correct AV channel (e.g. HDMI channel should be selected if you have the HDMI cable plugged in). If the device does not connect, press either the HDMI button or the AV button on the Media Player's remote and this should now be connected.

I bought this box. Easy to set up using your HDMI cable and usb stick however it is very basic and needs an update on the software and it is kids stuff!
It plays most files, and avi's also which is the reason for my purchase. After using for about a month I have noticed it switches itself off randomly and sometimes goes back to the start of the film which isn't good if you have spent nearly an hour watching something. Also now it keeps cutting out and going to the next film, this has happened with the last 4 films I have watched, gets to 20 mintues before the ending and stops! This is annoying as hell! I have tested all these films on my laptop and they all play right to the end so it definitely is this box.
My final thought on this box is that the idea is good but the product doesn't quite deliver 60% of the time.
And as for the shipping of £9.99 where do they get this price from as the box isn't big and doesn't weigh much!!????

After seven months this media player has suddenly just died on me, prior to this it was working perfectly and literally does play every file under the sun perfectly. Why the one star? well i realise it's certainly reasonable enough price-wise but one thing that is not advertised much concerning this product is that it only comes with a 6 month warranty!, i mean what product in this day and age only comes with 6 months? does not say much for the manufacturer or seller's confidence in the product. Also due to guarantee small print that exists between Amazon and third party sellers don't expect Amazon to give you any protection if it fails after 3 months of purchase. All in all, i've basically shelled out £4.29 a month for a media player that is now going to be discarded in the bin, i guess you really do get what you pay for, for 7 months anyway!.

Had this media player for a few months now,it's used almost daily for a few hours at a time.
Excellent little player,quality is excellent in both settings.used soley at the moment for
Watching recorded video footage from gopro HD recorder.
Only gripe is it comes up with message inappropriate media when trying to access avi media
Files from my Panasonic video recorder which is a shame.Also light is a bit bright when running.
Find it better to play from my external 500gb hard drive.Found that when playing direct from SD card
It seems to take ages between files before playing.
All in all great bit of kit for the money.

great little kit for all your files to watch through tv ie:- usb or card reader

Does what it says on the tin
It can be a bit slow to respond to the remote, but once a video has started, playback is flawless and it can play virtually any kind of video file. Very good for the price.

cant get a picture with the AV connection point
