Format: Paperback
With so many books being released that masquarade as design guides, but are nothing more than expensive glorified portfolios, this book is a breath of fresh air. It is full of useful observation and analysis, and so will better a designer rather than just try to influence his taste. This is a useful additional to the predominantly useless design-book pool.

7 of 8 people found the following review helpful By Mr S J Moore on 1 Jan. 2003
Format: Paperback
Students enrolling at the bauhaus would begin study with the basic course which would help develop fundamental artistic and creative feeling and thinking and show those with some ability in this area. The book gives an interesting insight into the bauhaus attitude and provides some excellent food for thought, but being the rather slim thing it is, leaves you hungry for more.
