This book goes a step further than simply giving you a sneak peak into some inspirational homes, it also dedicates a large portion of the book to DIY projects.
How to make projects include;
picture frames,
flower press,
block duvet cover,
sweater wreath,
Bentwood sconce,
storage bench,
cat bed,
stamped fabrics,
floor pillows, peg board pot rack,
cat scratcher,
curtain hooks,
quilting
and many more DIY projects that can been worked on from as little as a couple of hours or a long weekend for bigger projects.
There is also a flower workshop showing you how to create beautiful and seasonal floral arrangements and giving aproximate costs for each project.
The before and after section shows projects from start to finish; these include found items at garage sales, car boot sales, or ebay being transformed with the help of paint and fabric into an item to be proud of.
The book gives excellent value for money. I am an avid collector of design books and a keen bargain hunter. I have only had the book for one week, but I have already completed two of the projects; a DIY jewelry bust and a padded seat storage bench.
This is definitely one of the better design books on the market at the moment.
