5.0 out of 5 stars This sits beside my computer. 3 Aug 2011

I had been looking for a concise guide similar to the old Hip Pocket Guide to HTML 4.01, but hadn't found anything other than the O'Reilly pocket guides. Since I already had more in-depth books by O'Reilly (all very good, by the way), I didn't want to buy the same thing condensed. This set by Peachpit pleasantly surprised me. The HTML Guide covers HTML5, the CSS Guide covers CSS3, and the JavaScript Guide covers jQuery and MooTools -- with a great combination of readability and accessibility. Type is a bit small, but the excellent layout makes it less objectionable. I have other books on my shelf to teach me such things in depth, but when I want a ready reference sitting beside my computer for website design, this is what I use. This was money well spent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good pocket guides 3 Jan 2013

I work in a content editor position, and sometimes I need a little help on some projects. I use the JavaScript one mainly, but have had to use the HTML and the CSS book as well. Very quick and concise. I don't know all of the tags, so sometimes it's hard to find the exact one I need.

This is a good product to learn HTML & CSS. At least that's what I needed this product for. I bought it because I have a class now that deals with this and it's helpful. I do recommend this product.
