Have you ever search for a serious article on Google and ended up on [...] Well this is the Kindle version, a mishmash of items articles and quotes from the the internet, magazines and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics soaked in generic statements. If this cost £0.7 like a similar inapt book called the "SECRETS of the online travel business" by Matt Zito, I might I been content to lick my wounds and move on. However at £7.11 it begins to feel like fraud. I was however able to returned to Amazon for a refund, maybe that is worth the 1 star.

Bought this book and have found it very helpful in setting up my on-line Quirky Travel business. Soem very practical helpful advice. Only criticism is that it is quite America based (I'm in UK) and SOME info will outdate as the internet businesses change all the time.

Almost nothing about Travel... 6 Jan. 2011
By Eric Y. Theriault - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I purchased this book hoping that it could provide some insight into the laws surrounding a travel-based business or provide some really helpful insights into building the business, but really this book is less about the travel aspect, and more about the nuts and bolts of building any business and really has little focus on the travel industry in particular.

Even as a setting up your business book, it provides brief overview of what you need to do, but doesn't really dive deep into any particular topic. One topic that I found especially bizarre within the book was about creating your travel website as an e-commerce website and how you could start that business via E-bay -- there's a good part of a chapter dedicated to that, but when I look at the variety of travel websites out there and talk to people in the industry, very few associate travel with an e-commerce website.

Furthermore, the choice of highlighted providers are odd and I've barely heard of some of them and surprised that some of the big players are not even mentioned.

I wouldn't waste your money on this one...
