A discreet neutral-coloured band that can be worn around the wrist or ankle, the Bug Guard is a micro-encapsulated anti-mosquito band which contains concentrated repellent. Keeps the bugs at bay throughout the night.

I've used these bands in the tropics and the Scottish Highlands and they do a good job. Bugs normally feast on me but they stayed away when I was wearing these. They may not be quite as effective as the typical DEET-based sprays, but they are effective for several days, and without the mess (& possible adverse side effects) of sprays. They also smell reasonably pleasant so you won't deter the 2-legged specimens. I use my wit and repartée for that!

My Wife and I visited Thailand and then Bali for our Honeymoon. I have used Deet in the past but my wife is not a fan and wanted something else. We found these and thought we would give them a go. I am very pleased we did as these are excellent and value for money. we used them on the beach and by the pool (though they are not waterproof so stayed on the loungers when we took a dip!). We also did some day trips into the rainforest and other rural areas along with some dinners by the beach in our resort. I am normally a magnet for bugs but the only time I got bit the whole trip was when I forgot to put one on in the evening for dinner! 4 come in the pack and they say they last for 14 days but we kept them for a week and then changed them over. You can smell the citronella but it's not unpleasent, I really would recommend these for most trips.

OK but...
These bands do work but be careful when you put it on , once it comes off its plastic loop , impossible to thread it back.

MOSSIE BANDS
The iterm was lost in the post, but I have been sent another so i am impressed with that. They sent a travel mask also for gratis which was a good gesture.

Didn't work for me

Mozzy bands
