Review

.".. this is a well thought out book that will undoubtably become an
essential for the undergraduate and may also find its way into many
general dental practices." "C. N. A. Bell"
book is exactly as its title describes. It is a well written, easy to
read text covering all aspects of minor oral surgery, indeed some aspects
which one would not expect to find in similar books." --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Product Description

Although the practice of dentistry has changed remarkably in recent decades, minor oral surgery continues to form an integral part of general dental practice. Instruction in this discipline has for decades been based on a few classic textbooks which until now have adequately fulfilled their purpose. The aim of this 'synopsis' is not to replace these major texts but to provide the dental practitioner and undergraduate with an up-to-date and practical reference on minor surgical procedures appropriate to general dental practice. It has been written in clear, succinct style in a logical format. The accent has been placed on total patient care and the intention has been to provide an easily accessible, synoptic text that will be a ready source of reference in clinical practice, as well as forming an integral part of the undergraduate's armamentarium of books.

The author is an experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has experience of both United Kingdom and United States dental education and practice, and who is now lecturing at the University of Melbourne.

'A Synopsis of Minor Oral Surgery' should serve a dual purpose as both a textbook for today's undergraduate dental curriculum as well as a practical guide for contemporary general dental and hospital practice. It should be an essential purchase for all dental undergraduates, dental practitioners and junior hospital doctors. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Best Undergraduate Oral surgery book 18 May 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
As a Dental undergraduate, having started the clinical oral surgery course. I have found the synopsis a great help. Not only does it clarify the work I am doing clinically, it shows the applicable methods in a clear and concise manner. Illustrations complement the text in a very clear manner, and sometimes tell the whole story, which is good if like me an undergraduate, you dont have time to read chapters and chapters of a book. I would recommend this book to all dental undergraduates, and those in related fields, eg oral surgery dental nurses, medical students etc

a practical guide to oral surgery 23 April 2004
By Ravi - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
There are lots of books for oral sugery but this one is really good for the general dentist as it covers procedures that can be done in private practice. I particularly like the emergencies section for its simplicity and methodical approach. A real good book.
