Product Description

Product Description

The field of Design for Behaviour Change, including Design for Sustainable Behaviour, is emerging as a significant innovation opportunity for designers of products and services. Using design to influence user behaviour has the potential to help give users a better experience as well as offering social benefits and/or reduced environmental impacts.

The Design with Intent toolkit is a glossy A2 colour poster, together with an introduction page, offering a range of inspirational design patterns from different disciplines, which can be applied to influencing user behaviour and decision-making, together with examples and notes on their implementation, possible user reactions and ethical considerations.

From the Publisher

You have a product, service or environment--a system--where users' behaviour is important to it working properly (safely, efficiently), so ideally you'd like people to use it in a certain way.

Or maybe you have a system where it would be desirable to alter the way that people use it, to improve things for users, the people around them, or society as a whole.

How can you modify the design, or redesign the system, to achieve this: to influence, or change users' decision-making and behaviour?
