A work of genius 13 April 2011
Format:Audio CD
I have only just heard this album and was immediately blown away by it. The band, for all their youth, play their instruments with time-honed professionalism, delivering a competent and very capable style of music that is at the same time melodic and dangerously intense; it smacks of Machinehead or Slipknot but unique to the band, and clearly more refined than many of their peers. If you could listen to the sound of an 18 year old single malt whiskey, it would sound like this; vibrant, dynamic, engaging and so very smooth.

It is time that England reclaimed the title of Heavy Metal masters and, to my mind, Callous have every right to that claim. This isn't just a vitriolic parody of thrash metal, screaming guitars and ridiculous expletives to emphasize a want of lyrical ability ... this is raw heavy metal, played and sung stylishly. This is a work of crafted genius!!!

I can't wait to hear more....
