Product Description

Product Description

The beautifully smooth natural wove Watercolour Paper has been especially developed for use with water-soluble pencils, but it can also team up with all types of water-soluble media; particularly our Artbar and Inktense Blocks ranges.

The superior smooth texture of the paper makes it incredibly versatile; it enhances your pencil work whether wet or dry, and is ideal for intricate watercolour paintings as well as even washes of colour, or a combination of the two!

The heavy weight 300gsm paper responds well to washes, although we do recommend that the paper is stretched prior to use if a particularly large area is to be covered or a heavy wash used.

The pads are available in the most popular sizes ranging from A2 to A5. Each pad contains 12 sheets of 300gsm, white, acid free watercolour paper and features a watercolour drawing of a Rhino by animal artist Bev Lewis (UKCPS) on the cover.

A3 pad of 300gsm watercolour paper. Each pad contains 12 sheets of white, acid free watercolour paper.

Derwent make pretty good art supplies, especially their Coloursoft coloured pencil range, but this paper is fantastic. Great for paint, oil pastel and most importantly for me, coloured pencil. It has enough tooth to add lots of layers but is still smooth enough so that you don't get a grainy look. I have bought the A3 pads mostly as I can chop the sheets up as needed, but I also bought the A5 for a wee sketch pad. Great paper and now my go-to choice.

This pad sells itself as a watercolour pad but when you add a bit of water it crumbles! I don't understand how you can sell it as watercolour paper when it doesn't even work and the paper starts to fall apart!! So upset with this purchase as my work is ruined due to the false advertising of watercolour paper when it definately isn't and it wasn't that cheap, which you expect from the cheaper brands!! Furious!

We found it to be a good size but for paper quality it is not dense enough and starts to buckle

Good quality as you would expect from Derwent. This is a good value purchase, cheaper than I've seen anywhere else.
