Dermot O'Leary joined BBC Radio 2 in September 2004, presenting a Saturday afternoon show. Each week as part of the show Dermot invites a whole host of acts to perform live. These artists perform both covers and new renditions of their own tracks and these performances form the Saturday Sessions. The Saturday Sessions 2011 is packed full of live and acoustic performances from artists including Florence & The Machine, Jessie J, Plan B, Elbow, Noah and The Whale, Foster the People, Kasabian, Will Young, Adele and many more. It includes covers of classic tracks by Michael Jackson, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Simon and Kate Bush, along with stripped back performances of current tracks.

I Really believed Saturday Sessions volume 1 couldn't be beaten,but Dermot's team have done a wonderful job with the music choice on this album,there are usually one or two songs that most of us skip over on a Compilation album, but I couldn't find a fault with any on this,an absolute must buy album for all ages, as the old (songs) and new (artists) marry fantastically on this album.

I heard the track 'I've been losing you' as sung hauntingly by King Creosote (I quite liked the original, but this is so much better) looked it up on line and found that it could only be got by buying the complilation (shakes fist).... Anyway, kept listening to the sample on this site and took the plunge. Not every track is to my taste and I certainly prefer the 2nd Cd, but out of 40 tracks there's only about 3 I punch the mute/next button but there's at least a dozen tracks that I like very much, so for £6.99, it's good for the money. Have even gone back and got a king creosote cd :-)

Another amazing compilation. Will Young's track is superb, beautiful. Can't wait to listen to this over and over. If you enjoyed the other Saturday Sessions albums, then this one doesn't disappoint.

Brilliant mix!
Loved this and would recommend this as a 'worth a listen' type of CD. I like these sessions on the radio but this is a much better way of listening, more variety.

Good collection for downloading
I bought this for my Kindle Fire as it has a good mix of artists and songs, so there is always something to listen to when travelling.

Excellent
Loved this CD and the delivery was quick too. Boxing day we did a quiz using this CD and it was great fun guessing who the artists were!

Dermots Sarurday Sessions
This is the second cd of Dermots Saturday sessions I have purchased, its good easy listening music although I would say its not as good as the first one I bought(2010)
