Let me briefly tell you my own experience. I was asked to speak at a conference in front of about 500 people. It was a difficult speech; I had been up late the night before, had a little too much wine into the bargain and hadn't really prepared my material very well. I battled on but about 15 minutes in I dried up... it was horrible; I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. It was at this exact moment that my (now departed) dad came to me. It was as if he was right there in the hall looking down on me. He's not dead, just very condescending and had left at the interval before I spoke, but I swear I could hear him laughing. Thanks to Derek's fabulous accounts of possession type communications with dead folks (many of which happen live on his excellent TV programme, I mean what are the chances!) I now fill my head with voices from beyond the grave to drown out my overbearing father. I've even lined up some of the nastier spirits to put together a welcoming committee for the old git when he crosses over. Good work Derek.

I bought this book in August 2007, as I liked the way Derek worked on "Most Haunted" and "Ghost Towns".

You'll find out some of his amazing encounters, they really are fascinating and keep you on the edge of your seat.

It's a compulsive read as well as being very interesting. It was the fist book I'd read by Derek and I know it wouldn't be the last.

Personally it took me 24hrs to read this book as I just couldn't put it down. It's well worth the money and I've now just bought his latest which I'm about to start reading. :-)

GREAT READING FROM THE MAN WHO SOUNDS LIKE LILY SAVAGE , I LOVE DEREK ON MOST HAUNTED ,AND THOUGH SOMETIMES I HAVE DOUBTS ,DEREK IS ALWAYS THERE WITH A QUIP OR A OOEERR , GREAT BOOK ESPECIALLY THE LAST CHAPTERS ABOUT PETS !!, DEFINATLY HAPPENING IN MY HOUSE,
