This is an excellent, in-depth history of Derbyshire. Only relevant to people interested in local history. I think, even for people on holiday in Derbyshire, it may be a little too complicated. However for local people this is the best local history book. I just wish I had been a bit more patient and waited for the paperback as it is a bit heavy to carry around when looking at the places mentioned.

My husband comes from Derbyshire, and we both love it, so I bought this for him for Christmas. I am sure he will find it fascinating.
