3.0 out of 5 stars Faulty item? 31 July 2011
This nifty little gadget is amazingly quick to set up and at first I was very impressed. However, I have found that the scart connection keeps disconnecting momentarily and then re-setting itself as it switches back on. The power supply is not the problem as all the green lights remain on - but the scart connection just goes off, leaving a blue screen on the TV. Denver Mini Digital Freeview DVB-T Scart TV Tuner Adaptor. I have tried using another scart connection on the TV but there is no improvement. I am returning the item and ordering a replacement - hopefully this one will be OK. On the downside - the Denver firm is in Denmark - so no helpline and the User Manual is very limited offering very little explanation of the menu settings.

Review update: I received the replacement Denver Mini Digital Freeview adaptor very quickly, thank you Amazon. At first I was very optimistic and thought "YES it is going to be OK!" but it gradually started losing the Scart connection as before plus the unit kept freezing up. The only solution was to disconnect the power plug as the remote was totally dead, and re-boot the unit. This is really not acceptable and I will be returning the unit. By the way, on researching other Scart mini adaptors it does seem, from the Amazon reviews, that some of them have "freezing" issues, but I have yet to find the "blue screen/disconnection" problem that I have experienced.

5.0 out of 5 stars TV saver..... 23 Aug 2011
By MartinH
This product is excellent and for the cost is one of the best things I have purchased, it has saved my older TV and improved the picture quality for a small investment saved me form throwing away a good CRT TV. It was easy to purchase, delivery was as committed and the product took 10 mins to install (yes it did).

3.0 out of 5 stars Handily sized and works ok 20 July 2011

Verified Purchase
Only had it a few weeks but early signs are it works well enough for a budget Freeview box. Size means it can be hidden away, although the configuation of our TV meant it couldn't be connected directly into the back as the stand was in the way, so needed a scart lead.
