Received my yoga mat yesterday. Followed the instructions of things to do before first use: leaving it unrolled overnight, and washing it with a damp slightly soapy cloth. Had read other reviews suggesting the cloth would help make the mat less slippery - however I still cannot do wide-legged postures as my feet slip and I cannot maintain the posture longer than a few seconds, for fear of hurting myself by straining to not slip (if you understand what I mean...). Really disappointed to have spent £20 on something I cannot use. I liked the thickness and texture of the mat - other than it being totally slippery - and the color (orange) was lovely, but that does not make up for the fact that I will have to give it away. I will now get an eco-mat, which is what I had before and was attempting to replace. It costs twice as much, but at least I know I'll get years of use out of it! Which reminds me: I'm not even sure how enviro friendly this mat is: it's great it is non toxic, but is it biodegradable or recyclable? There are non-slip, non toxic yoga mats which are. And which admittedly also cost more than this one. Might be worth it though?
