Amazon Verified Purchase
This package will deliver excellent signals to your speakers. I am more than happy with the sound I get with some wharfedale diamond 9.1 speakers connected. There are a couple of things to bear in mind though. After I 1st started the unit, I stored some of my favourite dab stations as presets-easy peasy. The 2nd time I powered up I was upset to find my presets had not been saved. This ( after an experiment ) was because I had not put the unit into standby with remote control. Do not use the power switch on unit to turn off or you will lose your presets. The other thing which I dont really like is the tone controls which are done digitally, I much prefer the individual bass and treble controls normally found on units. It does have a tone bypass which is good for some cd,s. When tone controls are digital they would be better if seperate tones could be stored as presets (like a Kenwood I have), this one apparantly doesnt allow this. It does have an instant bass-boost setting which is nice for low volume level listening. Overall, my niggles are minor when compared to the main reason I bought this-sound per pound!! It has a lovely punch about it and its nice to hear my cd,s played through it. The reviews are very favourable for this package and I have to agree with most of them. The only reason it didnt get 5 stars is because I find it much easier to turn a knob for bass and a knob for treble to suit the cd that is playing, rather than go digital.
********* UPDATE.. I,ve had the unit for about a month and it has developed a problem--the cd player will not eject, spoke to customer service at hyperfi and they said they will replace. I am posting tomorrow ( at my expense ) so will keep you informed ************WOW !! Hyperfi were brilliant, within 3 days of reporting problem I had a new unit delivered--it restores my faith in business, what a brilliant service. I,ve got my good sounds back !!

Hi All,
I had purchased the Denon M38 and it's performace is absolutlely brilliant!
I then purchsed this system Denon DRA-F107 = what a disappointment.
The DRA-F107 is supposed to be 65W per channel compared to 30W per channel of the M38.
The DRA-F107 has actually weaker output, ie min. 20 settings more on volume control for DRA-F107 are required compared to M38
on either sets of speakers or Head Phone output.
On the DRA-F107 all the loud volume is 50 - 60 Max, run at max it overheats quick/trips and flashes orange light.
In short my new Denon M38 is absolutely brilliant, but my new Denon DRA-F107 should NEVER HAVE LEFT THE CHINESE DENON FACTORY!
How can one factory make something so brilliant, while producing another better model that is something so crap?
Where is Denon's quality control?
Lucky I have my 31 year Technics 20W system and the new M38 to compare the DRA-F107 to.
Will be interesing to see if Denon come to the party to replace my low output powered unit!

This is a very poor piece of equipment and I am very disappointed with it. After about half and hour of being on it just locks up and does not respond to the remote - it will not even turn off. You have to turn it off at the mains to restart; which is a real pain. The quality of the amp is also disappointing and no comparison with my old Technics amp. Avoid it is my advice.

It's not a good piece of equipment could have a better sound on it I have used other Denon products and found them to be better.
