These are designed for use with portable devices and use plastics extensively in their construction to reduce weight. The concept is to provide a higher quality of sound than is achievable with in-ear alternatives unless spending several times more than these. You get abpproximately 4 feet of cable with the headphones, sufficient to reach a player in a pocket or bag, plus a 3 meter extension cable and a 6.3mm jack adapter. The extension cable is a sensible addition rather than needing to carry excess cable with you, which can be an untidy process.

The sound quality is about as good as you can get for the price and perhaps better than with some, without excessive bass or a screeching treble. They are quite comfortable when when for about an hour or so but for very long use, I would prefer a circumaural design to enclose the ears for greater comfort. Although not sound isolating, they do reduce awareness of outside event but will filter some extraneous noise if used at lower levels. I have also used them with a headphone amplifier and they work equally well in both situations.

Highly recommended.

I know, I know, what do you expect from a set of sub £30 headphones..... however, I did a bit of research and eventually opted for these to use daily on my commute to work. Not too big/chunky, the sound was good/clear and they were comfortable, so I was happy.

The sound quality was better than my colleagues Pioneer over-ears but somehow not as good as my wife's Sennheiser IN EAR phones for bass response, given the frequency responses listed in the spec... but I stuck with them.

They were mainly to be used on an older iPod Nano or iPhone 4 so not incredibly loud due to EU restrictions and my age, and for continuity I opted for the Denons to go with my DM38DAB unit in the living room.

They lasted just four months before the left phone started crackling and failing with almost every note at lower and lower volume.

Amazon to their credit swapped them straight away after a simple online chat, which was brilliant.

However, the latest pair have lasted just three weeks before the same issue has happened again. Most of my music is a mix of 192k to 320k MP3s but the cans have been tested on an old HiFI (before EU regs) with a CD and still the left phone is VERY scratchy and distant. I work in IT so know about component failures here and there. Perhaps I have had a couple of pairs from a duff batch, but I will not be getting another set, I'll opt for another brand.

Also VERY squeeky with the plastic rubbing.

Just feel very disappointed and let down byt them.

Some pros/cons:
+
Foldable, makes it so much easier to transport.
The headphone weight is very light and it rests easy on your head.

-
The downfall with the headphone being lightweight is that it leaks audio, on mid to high volyme you're not just playing for yourself - the entire room will hear. Reversly audio leaks in from the outside easily, so you kinda have to turn up the volyme. Woudnt recommend for commuters.
Squeky nosies: Had to silent it with a tiny drop of oil.

Earcuff is somewhat small, it doesnt totally sit around the ear - but still very comfortable thx to soft pads.
Audio quality is somewhat lacking - Its like there is something missing. Imo the model bellow (310) is easier to listen to.

Overall I'd say there are better alternatives, but if you're looking for comfort these might be for you.

Feels very cheap because of the plastic materials, which by the way squeaks so much it destroys the the other ways decent sound quality. My second point of annoyance is the plug itself - it lasted under a month and now there's a loose connection.

Don't be fooled by the price and ESPECIALLY never do business with BESTBUYIT. Fast delivery does not compensate for horrible customer service and daft employees!!! I will never do business with them again nor recommend others to do so.

1. The first thing that 'hits you' is how light and amazingly comfortable they are
2. Sound quality is incredible
3. Look fab

These are more than capable of being driven by an iPod, but would still recommend buying a headphone amp. It just lifts the whole experience even further.

Best headphones for the price by a mile. If you are considering the ADH310 as a cheaper option....don't....these are way better and worth the extra £20.

These headphones are fantastically comfy and great sound however those brackets holding the cups WILL snap at some point, mine snapped after just 4 months. The same goes for the AHD-1100 as well so it will be worth having a warranty added on to this product!

I got these headphones as a present. I had read reviews saying that the construction was poor, and I thought it wouldn't be too much of an issue, as they had been rumoured to have good audio qualities. Well, when I wore them I had a unbearable squeaking from the hinge on both sides whenever I moved an inch, far louder than the music volume. I was relieved when that subsided somewhat after 3 weeks, but not completely. And then about a month after purchase the wire on the right phone came loose, and high frequencies started to go bad on one side. Not very happy with them overall! They are too big to be used as portable phones, and not good enough to be used at home, even for a cheapskate!
Oh, and if you have a big head, these are not for you! The pressure is quite high.
