I had the non-mic version of these headphones and loved them. When I got a great new smartphone (HTC flavour) I wanted to consolidate my headphones into one for music and also for calls. It seems that the Denons would be the perfect solution, and they are but with one incredibly huge caveat! The sound isolation works REALLY well! When you're on a call, it seems as if the person on the other end is inside you head. The sound is so great and the isolation from outside sound so successful that you won't hear your voice... which will be severely audible to people hundreds of meters away! So, lesson learned... buy these headphones, but use only one headphone at a time on calls or risk a smack on the head from a little old lady's purse!

Solid, robust headphones. Only the middle of the three buttons works on my HTC - this is for calling/ending calls and playing/pausing music. The volume buttons do not work. The head phones are very comfortable and you cannot hear the outside world. Purchased as a replacement for my Sennheiser CX300's which broke; one ear went dead and then the other. The sound is very good on the Denon's however not as basey as the Sennheisers. Will write another review if these break within six months, but seem very sturdy for now.

Excellent sound and base, i like my music and have used Denon for ages. Back of unit fell off when I got it out of box, just not secured properly otherwise 5 stars.
