There's a fairly basic formula for these sorts of DVDs which this one follows and follows closely. Lots of football clips, assorted interviews (with a few notable absences telling you who has fallen out with who), some uplifting music and repeated references to how wonderful the subject is.
When the subject is Dennis Bergkamp and the clips are of him scoring goals, it's a formula that works well.
You won't get any deep insights into the man or the game, but that isn't what this is for; it is for lots of entertainment watching one of the most skilled footballers of his generation at work.
The DVD extra is a a compilation of all his goals. Short clips from only one camera angle usually, but at least with a DVD you have got rewind and pause. The production quality generally is pretty good. The quality of the footage for some of the goals varies greatly, making it also a mini-history of how much the quality of TV football coverage has improved over the years.
