    I bought this item for my Mum. She used to have a Mason Pearson hairbrush years ago, but they are so expensive now. As she wanted 100% bristle, a hairdresser friend of mine recommended the Denman Hairbrush - its almost identical to the expensive one, but just as good. She loves it. She still likes to look after herself at age of 92!

    This might be my stupidity, but I failed to notice that this brush was 'handbag sized' when I bought it; to be honest, I thought that Amazon had made a mistake and sent me a child's brush until I checked the measuements. I have short, thick hair, which this brush fails to make any sort of impression on. Saved up for what I hoped would be a decent hairbrush, and I'm gutted. I don't blame Denman, although I think the product description could have been clearer - hence the reason for writing this review. Please don't waste your money like I have, unless you're sure this brush is right for you!
