Format: Hardcover
Orchid Species Culture: Dendrobium by Margaret L. Baker, Charles O. Baker is an excellent source of information on how to grow Dendrobiums. Climate tables show how light, water, and temperature varies in the natural growing habitat, and extensive comments on each species serves as an excellent guide for the amateur grower. About 1400 species are covered i great detail. The only drawback is that there are no pictures, except those on the cover. I would like to recommend this book to anyone who is growing Dendrobiums.

Incredible work 30 Jan. 2010
By HJ VENTER - Published on Amazon.com

An amazing and prodigious effort was undertaken to compile this encyclopedic work - if you cannot grow the majority on dendrobium species after getting this book and studying the information contained therein - then you are doing something wrong!
Orchid Species 19 Dec. 2009
By orchid-cezanne - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is another affordable paperback with information from the Bakers with the information you need on how to grow your species orchids from Pescatorea to Pleione. It's well constructed to withstand the amount of wear it will undoubtedly get. This is not your typical monolith from the Bakers. It's a normal book size less than an inch thick. The are pictures on the cover only.
