Dempsey & Makepeace on DVD 24 May 2008
By Telecom Pete - Published on Amazon.com
If you reading this, you are probably looking for Dempsey & Makepeace on DVD as I was. You are also familiar with the program and so a review of the program isn't necessary. Dempsey & Makepeace was one of my favorite programs in the 80's but seeing it again, it looks very dated. But if you were a big fan of the show, it might not matter all that much.

If you are desperate to get your hands on the series now, it is currently available from Amazon UK (follow link at bottom of page). You will need a player capable of playing region 2 DVDs. Many of the DVD players available at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc. can be enabled to play region region 2 DVDs with with a few commands on the remote - info can be found through Google and Yahoo. Even with a weak dollar, price is still reasonable and shipping only takes about a week.

If you liked Dempsey & Makepeace you might also like Keen Eddie - The Complete Series which is also about an American cop sent to London. It is just as good as Dempsey & Makepeace if not better and you won't have to get it from Europe.
Will it be relased on DVD in the USA? 23 Jan 2010
By Harold J. Miller - Published on Amazon.com
I have been a fan of this show and I was hoping to get it on DVD here in the US but I see it is available on DVD in a region 2 format which will only play on DVD players in Europe. I was trying to find info on which company is issung the DVD (example : BBC, LTW ect.)to contact them but I have been unsuccessful as I would like to add this to my DVD library. If and when it is available in the US and you are into crime/action TV shows then get this you won't be disappointed but until then I just have to wait and see.
