This book is about witches and demons and sacrifices, sex magick and menage and blood, gore and the rest. It is hot, but perhaps not sexy and has two hunky males who from a coven of witches who 'deflower' a female witch of another coven, one in which females are cursed with celibacy. And though the female lead has been a virgin for nearly 30 years, she is no stanger to having fun on her own...which turns nasty when she gets taken over by dark-magic being spelled against her, and the scenes that follow are brutal and made me wince.
It is fast-moving and hot and explicit, but it's not a Keeper for me, as there's non-consensual sex, incest, killing, sacrifices and blood and gore. I checked and found that on the website it comes with a warning of the above, but there's no mention on the book blurb on amazon, and none on the fly pages or back cover. It was a good read, and strangely believable in its contemporary setting, but it should have had a warning.

Aleeza is a witch on a mission. Her coven was cursed with celibacy by an ancestor and she will do anything to break the magical chastity belt.
Ferrin and Dorand are on a different kind of mission. Someone is on a killing spree and one of the victims was their woman. They must find out who killed her before more die. A forbidden spell cast by Aleeza interferes with Ferrin and Dorand's call for their woman's spirit. Will the pair be able to forgive Aleeza? Can the three come together to form the most powerful triad the world has ever known to solve these murders? Demon's Triad was very intriguing. Anna J. Evans and December Quinn weave a wonderful tale of magic, sex, and demons. Aleeza's frustration leapt off the pages and the emotional struggle between the three main characters could be heartbreaking at times. Demon's Triad was a wonderful novel and I hope that Ms. Evans and Ms. Quinn collaborate again soon. Jambrea Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed |
