5.0 out of 5 stars Happy with my purchase 4 Mar 2013

I bought this eBook as I remembered reading this book and all of Jack Chalker's books when I was younger and felt they were fun books. Couldn't find my hard back and as I now have a tablet wanted to try it out. I love it. Thank you.
4.0 out of 5 stars Demons of the Dancing Gods 12 Nov 2012
By Geoffrey A. Snyder - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I first read this book as a teen and loved it. It was more than a little funny but still a well written story. Reading it again in my 40s did not diminish the enjoyment. There is something in it for fantasy lovers of all ages.

It pokes fun at traditional fantasies through it's highly codified set of rules that all the characters much live by. There are more fairies, elves and dwarves in this book than most Old School fantasies but they certainly are not Tolkien creations - they are magical beings who also need to pay their bills and get on with their jobs ...

As with the first book in the series, please ignore the awful cover - it's an amateurish drawing that tends to make the entire book look a junior high school project.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good as I remembered, but some typos. 22 Oct 2012

I first read this book 10 yearsa ago,and it is a good book. It is a nice parody on sterotypical "swords and sorcery" and managed to keep the whole thing interesting, but for some reason there were a ton of typos. This is probably a result of the transfer process to kindle format, but it prevents this book from getting five stars.
