In the circumstances, arrived in good time. Good communication.

This is the third copy of this I've bought - people keep borrowing them and hanging on to them.

Many thanks - :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource for solving common spelling troubles. 4 Sep 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book not only explains why the specific word is spelled as it is, but also a mnemonic device to help you remember how to spell it in the future. A great tool for teachers, students, and business people alike. An example? A lot vs alot: reminder...Would you like a little, or a lot? You wouldn't spell a little as one word, so you definately wouldn't spell a lot as one word either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Important Spelling Words 12 Dec 2007
By Linda S. Braman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
As a teacher I used this book to help students with words that gave them problems. My favorite to say to them was "Do not MAR your gramMAR." Many of them would write "Grammer" at the top of their homework papers. I always remember "accommodate" with "a Canadian caper on Mount McKinley 0 date". The book encouraged me to come up with my own mnemonics for words. It describes 8 basic linking patterns that you can use to create your own mnemoics. In addition to memory tricks, the book includes spelling rules. This book is an excellent tool for teachers and people who have trouble spelling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rhyming - A powerful mnemonic tool 30 Jun 2009
By Curtis Holliman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is pretty good stuff. Even the title embraces the mnemonic "Rhyming" which in itself is a powerful tool. In reading the book there are many great mnemonics to spell difficult words. It is really good as a reference manual in the guide to correct mnemonic construction, and the methods of mnemonics. However, the author was very selective in the words used, and should have branched out into some of the really difficult words.
