Product Description

What’s a girl to do when she discovers her husband, who happens to be the Master Vampire for the New England Region, has been lying to her for, oh, say a hundred and eighty years?

Well, it all depends. If she’s accidentally released forty demons from some creepy old book, unintentionally announced the existence of vampires on The Internet, kidnapped a werewolf, enraged a lovesick vampire by stealing his approved mate, and attracted the attention of The High Commander for The Vampire Federation, not to mention gotten stoned and mastered the forbidden art of demon calling, she might be willing to call it even.

Or, she might plead her case at an Inquisition and hope like all hell, she isn’t staked before sunrise. Eh, a slightly busier night than usual, but nothing Eva Prim can’t handle.

4.0 out of 5 stars Demon mistress 4 Jun 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I must admit l found this book quite amusing. Chrissie certainly gets herself into some scrapes and seems to be so innocent as to what she does l find her quite lovable but frustrating. I did enjoy it and it's a different slant on the vampires.

The Demon Mistress was nothing like I expected it to be and I mean that in a good way! It had me in stitches most of the way through...the demons will crack you up, as will Eva. I just loved the way the whole novel was constructed, I'm not going to say how, don't wanna spoil it. Fans of funny urban fantasy will eat it up.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Demon Mistress by Jordan K. Rose 3 Oct 2013
By Star @ The Bibliophilic Book Blog - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Chrysanthemum (please call her Chryssie) is married to the Master Vampire of the New England Region, Stefan. Chryssie is airheaded and has gotten herself into sticky situations so many times, Stefan keeps her in the house most of the time. Not that she's not free to go out...with an escort. Stefan buys her laptop and she starts a blog under the pseudonym Eva Prim. She starts discussing vampire tips and gathers a small following of loyal readers. When a renegade vampire targets a blog reader, she sets out with her demons and some of her friends to rescue her. She finds herself in trouble with The High Commander and her husband, but is Eva slick enough to fix it all before it's too late? `The Demon Mistress' is a cute and funny story, a fluffy and enjoyable escapist read. Chryssie is certainly a character who makes an impression on everyone she meets. Some of the stuff she did had me laughing out loud and rolling my eyes at her naïveté. Curl up on a rainy day, relax, and read `The Demon Mistress' for a great escape!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!! BbPR 4 Oct 2013
By Emi Lia - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**
I loved it!! Eva / Chrissie was the funniest female character I've ever read about!! It was like reading a modern day paranormal version of I Love Lucy. It was awesome! Stefan, Eva's sexy Vampire husband, is a little over protective of Eva, so when he is out on business, he leaves her home alone, and locked in. It sounds mean, but he has his reasons, lol. To help with her boredom he buys her a laptop, so she starts a blog, and that is when things get a little crazy. She is also given a gift, a couple of Demon friends, actually some of the ones she let out of the book by mistake. Eva goes on, what she thinks, is a life saving mission of one of her blog friends. But what she really does is cause havoc in her husband's territory and is the most sought vampire from everyone. lol And the more she tries to help, the deeper she digs her "grave". lol
Demons Mistress was a great read, it was more like a Paranormal Comedy. Just totally awesome and well deserving of the 5 start rating. I love thrillers, suspenseful, action, and lust filled Paranormal stories, but I also like when someone throws a different spin on things and gives it a fresh look.
I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Move over Betsy, there's a new Ditz in town! 10 Mar 2014
By 3 Little Meerkats - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
In the vein (get it) of Davidson's Queen Betsy and the Real Vampire series, Rose introduces Chrysanthemum aka Eva Prim. The demon master (with a small M), vampire blogging, hapless and very girlie Master Vampires' mate.

Whilst I cant say that this novel is as strong as the aforementioned series, if I said that Chrissie is kept under physical (and supernatural) lock down whenever her husband has to go out, you will begin to sense what a walking disaster she is. She is so bad she is borderline annoying but she is also puppy dog lovable and you will fly through the pages wanting her to somehow come out on top. This is the story of what happens when she manages to sneak out ...

No mystery solving, bumbling here - just lots and lots of bumbling. I didn't think it was laugh out loud funny but still very entertaining and just what I needed after more serious fare.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and very funny take on a vampire novel 2 Jun 2014
By D. Hays - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
With so much vampire fiction out there, it's tricky to find new ground to cover, but this feels very different. Chryssie/Eva narrates the book, and has a hilarious take on the trouble she manages to get into (hint: it's never her fault).
She may be flighty and leave a path of destruction in her wake, but in the end she's just trying to make friends.
And such a quick & easy read, it's hard to put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Truly Awesomely Funny Read 3 Oct 2013
By Dottie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Chryssie Papadopoulos isn't your average vampire, no way. That would be boring, and Chryssie is anything but boring.... klutzy maybe, but definitely NOT boring or selfish, or thoughtless. Well, maybe a little bit selfish, but isn't everyone? So what if she happens to be married to the most powerful vampire, and the master at that, in the region? Does she take advantage of her position? Does she try to force people to like her? (I mean besides a couple of times, before she knew better.) Chryssie just wants to be liked for who she is.

When Stefan, her husband (I did say she was married to the most powerful vampire in the region and the master) gives her a laptop as a gift (I'm hoping it was a Macbook, I have a thing for Macbooks), she does what most people (and vampires) in her position would. She starts a blog, Eva Prim Writes, and makes TONS of new friends. Just what she wanted!! But, along with her friends, a whole lot of new trouble starts brewing (and I mean a lot). I did say she was a bit of a klutz, especially in her personal life (and in the lives of those around her.)

The Demon Mistress by Jordan K. Rose is a great fun read. What starts out, for Eva, as a way to occupy her time, relieve her tedium, and of course, gain new friends all who want information on the vampire way of life, turns into a mad dash. Eva, as it turns out, is her own worst enemy. She can't keep herself (and those around her) out of trouble. Her simple blogs turns out to be much more.

Ms. Rose not only creates this wildly wonderful person known as Chryssie Papadopoulos (Eva Prim), but she does it in the most entertaining way. Chryssie sparks feeling of kinship, I'd actually like to blog with her, she so much fun. I was laughing, tearing up, wanting to smack Stefan, and Cletus, hell, I wanted to smack Margaritaman (he should have known better than to get in a car with a hungry vampire, you know, from the blog). And, the names these people blog with, I just don't know.... but it sure sounds like fun.

If you're looking for a fun, entertaining, somewhat endearing read, you'll want to try The Demon Mistress by Jordan K. Rose. I guarantee, lots of fun to be had, cute characters, domineering alpha male vampires, and werewolves galore. It's not your usual vampire read and you're going to love every minute of it. I haven't read something this fun in a while, sexy.. yes, scary.. yes, chiller-thriller.. all the time. But a humorous read? This has been one of the best. I fell in love, just a little, with Eva Prim.

Five out of five fairy kisses for this reader.
