Book Three of The Witching Pen Novellas

"Two thousand and eleven years after the birth of the Failed One, the Witching Pen will be made manifest on Earth by the Great Shanka Witch of the Old Scrolls. By her hand, the Earth will rumble and shatter, and all dimensions will bleed into one."

The true purpose of the Witching Pen has been revealed, and it must be destroyed before an apocalyptic prophecy comes true. There's just one problem - the Pen is indestructible.

As everyone searches for much needed answers, Elena lays down plans for a radical mission to save her mother from the Shanka's shadow world.

Meanwhile, Mary has finally discovered who she really is, and what that means for the human race.

What Mary doesn't know, is that Gwain has been searching for her for over ten thousand years, and had lost all hope of finding her. Now that he has her, he's faced with an impossible choice: does he save the woman who altered his very existence, or does he sacrifice her to save mankind?

NOTES: Book length - novel at approx 70,000 words. Warning - contains sexual content and some violence. All three books are now also available in one large Omnibus Edition!

I loved the first 3 instalments of this trilogy (well, one of the first three is actually a prequel, so I don't know whether it really counts as an actual part of the trilogy), and I was really looking forward to the release of the final part of the story. Let's just say it didn't disappoint. I loved all of the characters - they were all so well drawn out, that I felt as though I personally knew them. I felt their sadness, loss, excitement and love for one another (Mary and Gwain - need I say more!! Well, most likely, yes, if you haven't read it yet, but I wouldn't want to spoil it!). My only complaint: too short! I reached the end of the story on my kindle, and I could have cried with frustration. I honestly didn't want it to end, and I suppose it won't. The next novel 'The Last Dragon' is expected sometime in 2013 I think, and I, for one, am eagerly anticipating it!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Demon Bride 2 Sep 2012
By Maureen
Format:Kindle Edition
I have to start by stating the obvious; Dianna Hardy is a fantastic writer. This series just keeps getting better and better. Dianna has created a three dimensional world with very vivid characters that take a little piece of your heart with them.

The Demon Bride was on my most anticipated books of the year list. I could not wait to read it. The minute I got it I started reading. It is a blockbuster from the first page. The Demon Bride is a story of love lost and found. A story of what is worth dying for. A story of loyalty and trust. A story of profound sacrifice. Choices made by one will affect those of the entire universe. I have to say that this is my favorite book of the series. I cried with these characters and cheered when they triumphed. I am not sure if what I hoped would happen was good for the whole universe, but we will have to wait and see what the next book brings. Where there is true love only good things can come from it. Thank you Ms Hardy for writing such a wonderful story and sharing it with us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spectacular Follow-Up 31 Aug 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Wow! Book three, The Demon Bride, is a seriously amazing follow up.
Dianna pushes her characters so much more and into territory yet to be explored in book three of The Witching Pen series. It is so much darker and sexier than book one and two, both which I loved and rated 5 frolicking fairies.

The Demon Bride predominantly follows Mary and Gwain. And boy oh boy, what a
story they make. Their passion which was touched on in book two, The Sands of Time, reaches a phenomenal level, and their story and relationship is very cleverly interweaved into The Witching Pen story. Their journey is somewhat epic and life changing; it may even be my favourite out of the three so far.

What I equally enjoyed was the inclusion of the main characters who dominated the two previous books. They were not left behind in the least; rather, we were able to continue following their journeys and to see how life had progressed for them. There are some real shockers along the way!

If you've yet to discover the wonderful characters in this series or have yet to journey into a pretty amazing, passionate world of The Witching Pen, I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of book one, The Witching Pen, sooner rather than later.
