I chose this height-adjustable piano bench after a session with my piano teacher identified the source of a position and posture problem I'd been experiencing, which had been leading to straining in my wrists and arms. My current bench, being fixed height, was a little too high, resulting in my forearms dropping enough to cause discomfort during extended practice.
This bench resolved the problem. It has a lowest height of about 47cm, which is perfect for me. I was surprised at how much improvement the two or three centimetre reduction over my old bench made to my playing posture and comfort. For those who need a higher seated position, the height adjustment mechanism is sturdy and safe, and the buttoned faux-leather seat is comfortable in extended use. Construction is reassuringly solid, and the high gloss finish matches the finish of my polished ebony Yamaha Clavinova perfectly.
There were no notes on how to assemble, but it is very easy, with four bolts/washers and a spanner tool provided to attach the legs, and the assembly takes less than five minutes.
There is a space under the hinged seat for sheet music, enough for a depth of about 2in/5cm of books, perhaps 6-10 music books depending on average page count. I have also put the small spanner tool in a soft bag inside the seat, to keep it handy in case the legs should need periodic tightening.
This piano bench is good value for money, and order handling from the seller was efficient and helpful. Recommended.
