5.0 out of 5 stars Delta Force the original and the best! 9 Jan. 2002

The single player missions are great fun, but the real fun starts when you play multiplayer through nova world! Although the graphics are not as smooth as Land Warrior, it does not detract from the game. A must for a lovers of shoot 'em ups!

4.0 out of 5 stars Delta Force 1 6 Feb. 2004
By A Customer
This review is purely for PC soldier game recruits. This game is a great way to start on the the modern soldier sim level. You will see many newer and better looking games but this games is the game to start on. Its simple to play. The graphics are low power and the memory demands are small. In short it is the primary school of modern infantry games. A word of advice to veteran gamers how have this game but are thinking of selling or giving it away. I have heard that it will not be in production much longer and it is set to become aland mark classic so keep it. Beacuse years from now you will wish you had.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good 7 Sept. 2001

Have always felt fustrated by level boundaries in Quake or Unreal engine games. However involving the world you're always aware that it's encapsulated and there's a lengthy load time ahead before the next little bubble. Not so Delta Force! Using a voxel graphics engine very similar to that seen in Outcast it achieves fantastic draw distances and an almost endless landscape. Granted the voxel engine looks blocky close-up but at least you get an organic landscape better than anything vectors can achieve. For graphical realism then its scores 5 out of 5. However, your CPU team members are scripted and hence do the same thing in the same way each time. Totally useless. Enemy AI is better -especially in missions where one misplaced shot brings an army down on you. Still not too good though. Oh - and there's no save mid-mission so as you progress, rather like Wargasm, this game becomes VERY hard. Would buy this one over Delta Force two as it's cheaper, runs faster and is virtually bug free.

5.0 out of 5 stars amazing game! 30 Aug. 2001

If you are thinking of purchasing a quality budget game, this is it. The single player isnt very good due to bad AI, the multiplayer is brilliant. Although this is an old game, the online following is still huge, this is a game that you could never get bored of! The graphics are a bit dodgy, but thats to be expected from an older game, there are some glitches but it just adds to the gameplay. I think that the reason it is liked so much is because it is a simple game, there are no fiddly controls, so anyone can play it

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for when it was made 1 May 2005
Considering when this was made, it is a good game. The AI is bad and the graphics arn't great but still fun for a few hours at least.

3.0 out of 5 stars "Just try it, You might enjoy it !" 11 April 2001

Delter Force has some nice aspects of a game of this sort. Want to be a sniper a squaddie and a cold blood killer?, this game has it. Delter force will apeal to the side of you that wished that you could be in 'nam'. there is a odd control config and the trees, walls and hill some times get in the way. over all its a ok game if you like that sort of thing. But if things like shoddy rendering and strange game play put you off give it a miss.
